History of the actual model :
The type G4 boxcar was put into service by the SNCF from 1963. These wagons were part of the last series of 2-axle boxcars mass-produced for the French railways. They mark the end of this type of equipment after several generations.
• The G4 type covered wagon came in 3 versions:
• The G41.6 version for transporting livestock
• The classic freight version: G4.2 or G40.2
• The specific version for transporting early fruit and vegetables: G69.6
